Context
The product began life as a Java/WildFly monolith: 9 Maven modules, JPA/Hibernate persistence and JAX-RS services. The company needed it on the new multi-tenant Django platform.
Problem
Customers’ laboratory data could not be lost or corrupted, and the cutover had to be short. A rewrite that only worked on test data was not an option.
What I did
- Migrated the legacy Java/WildFly monolith onto the Django SaaS.
- Completed the migration with zero data loss and minimal cutover downtime.
